Purpose for Campaign

With 100+ titles on the DC Hub, HBO Max was the official home for all things DC Universe.

In support of a DC 360 Campaign, the editorial strategy Kemani created offered fans easy and clear access to the same DC titles on platform as were promoted by Marketing during promotional period in 2021. The strategy used custom copywriting, content curations, design components (simple highlight, theme tray backgrounds, immersive heroes, etc.), and entry points to push viewers to the DC Hub — “The home of DC” — to elevate DC content to longtime and budding comic book and superhero fans.

DC FanDome 2021

DC’s global streaming event returned for its second year with a partnership with HBO Max to celebrate all things DC (movies, series, comics, video games, and more) with pre-taped segments focusing on reveals, announcements, first looks, reimagined “panels” (dynamic, fun, fast-paced interviews), talent integrations (remote shoots), fan engagement opportunities, insider convos, and more.

The event was stream live at dcfandome.com, with clips being made available for playback in the days and weeks afterwards. Clips relevant to HBO Max were be posted after the show.

Wonder Woman’s 80th Anniversary

One of DC’s most popular character’s celebrates her 80th anniversary with support from DC Publishing, Social, Digital, and Consumer Products, eventizing  on the TNets and YouTube, and more, all culminating on Wonder Woman Day 2021 on HBO Max. The editorial strategy accompanied the anniversary’s theme of Strength, Compassion, Truth, and Positivity, as with Wonder Woman’s core themes.

Batman Day 2021

The annual celebration of Batman returned to HBO Max, and in 2021 the event was for more than a day with a full month-long celebration of support from DC Publishing, Social, Digital, and Consumer Products, and eventizing on Cartoon Network, the TNets, and YouTube. This campaign was in collaboration with with this year’s theme of Bat-Tech from the DC Marketing team. Also, launched Batman: The Audio Adventures, a scripted comedy-noir podcast and celebrated Adam West’s Birthday.
